DESCRIPTION:You are invited to a weekend event sponsored by the Progressive Christian Forum at Peace United Church of Christ on Friday\, February 5th\, 6:30pm – 8:30pm; Saturday\, February 6th\, 9:00am – 1pm. This event is free\, donations are welcomed. \nClimate Change:  The Moral Dimension will address climate change within a moral/ethical framework by drawing on the arts\, philosophy\, psychology\, and religion. \nFriday evening introductory remarks will be by Kathleen D. Moore\, a prominent moral philosopher. Ellen Bass\, Santa Cruz Poet Laureate will speak and music will be provided by The Strathdees\, an inspirational folk music group. Wine and cheese reception. Environmental art and photography will be displayed for participants to view. \n

As Executive Director for the National Center for Lesbian Rights\, Kate Kendell has worked tirelessly as an advocate for civil rights. So much so that in 2010\, she was named a “woman who could be president” by the League of Women Voters of San Francisco. \nIn addition to hearing from Kate\, we will honor youth leaders who have stood up for equality and justice in their school communities.
