DESCRIPTION:The Circle is a place in the church community where interested people get together to explore a range of issues related to following a Christian path. It is not a group therapy session or an extended discussion of personal problems. Nor is it primarily a social occasion\, we do not serve food or drink. We explore Christian spirituality\, its application to our personal lives and to our engagement with the wider world we inhabit. It is a small\, supportive group; a safe environment for “spiritual conversation”. We hope to provide a source of support for individuals in their personal struggles with matters of faith and practice. Our meetings are led by members of the group on a rotating basis\, with the facilitator providing a brief reading\, reflection\, or question to focus the discussion for the evening. DESCRIPTION:After worship on Sunday\, August 16\,  at 11AM\, join us for our Summer  Garden Work Day to keep the Church garden beautiful and welcoming.  Garden clothes and shoes are appropriate for church. Please bring clippers\, shears\, shovels\, rakes\, garden gloves and any other tools you think might be helpful. A light lunch will be served after we an hour and a half of beautification. All thumbs welcome\, green and otherwise!

SUMMARY:Introduction to Reiki
DESCRIPTION:The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words\, Rei which means “God’s Wisdom or the higher power” and Ki which is ‘life force energy.” After our worship service today\, Patty Smith will present an hour long introduction to Reiki; she will combine demonstration along with information\, scientific research and first-hand experiences of witnessing God’s mysterious ways of healing body\, mind and spirit. This helpful workshop is open to anyone.
