DESCRIPTION:Subject: TBA\nTuesday\, October 18\, 2016 at 7:30PM \nSometimes we feel awkward sharing our faith\, or talking about who God is to us and yet\, it can be a very enriching experience to discuss these matters of heart and spirit with others.  Being part of such a sharing experience can also deepen the relationships among us\, and help us see more fully the inner beauty of one another.  If you would like to be part of such a group exploring matters of faith and practice\, consider becoming involved in the group\, Circles of Christian Living.  It is not a group therapy session or an extended discussion of personal problems. Nor is it primarily a social occasion\, we do not serve food or drink. We explore Christian spirituality\, its application to our personal lives and to our engagement with the wider world we inhabit. It is a small\, supportive group; a safe environment for “spiritual conversation”. We hope to provide a source of support for individuals in their personal struggles with matters of faith and practice. Our meetings are led by members of the group on a rotating basis\, with the facilitator providing a brief reading\, reflection\, or question to focus the discussion for the evening. Rev Deborah Streeter\, our Pastor of Blue Theology will lead this service dedicated to all of the no-footed\, two\, four and many-footed creatures; all those with fur\, hair\, feathers and scales that enrich our lives. \nYou are welcome to bring a photo for the table in memory of animals that have changed your life. \n● Dress comfortably\n● Bring your pet on a leash (or in a box or carrier)                                                                ● All footed\, no footed\, 2\, 4 and more-footed critters are warmly invited                                                   \nYou are also invited to bring contributions of collars\, leashes\, dog toys\, dog and cat food\, clean towels and blankets for area animal shelters. \n

DESCRIPTION:Sing! Sing A Song!\nWhether you are an accomplished singer\, or you love making a joyful noise singing in your car or the shower\, you are welcome to join our choir for weekly performances during the academic year (the choir is on hiatus during Summer break) or you may want to join for special performances at Christmas and/or Easter. Choir practice is every Wednesday from 7-8:00pm in the church sanctuary under the direction of our pianist\, David Larstein.

SUMMARY:Circles of Christian Living
DESCRIPTION:Subject: Prayer\, facilitated by Pete Ogilvie\nTuesday\, September 13\, 2016 at 7:30PM \nMany of our prior Circle of Christian Living evenings have  featured selections from the Gospel\, other biblical passages\, and  poems referencing our topic or theme for discussion. But the real joy and value of these sessions seems to me to have often come when we  shared from our own lives and experiences. At Tuesday evening’s session\, let’s open up discussion to sharing whatever each of us would like to bring forth about our personal  experience of prayer. \nThe Circle is a place in the church community where interested people get together to explore a range of issues related to following a Christian path. It is not a group therapy session or an extended discussion of personal problems. Nor is it primarily a social occasion\, we do not serve food or drink. We explore Christian spirituality\, its application to our personal lives and to our engagement with the wider world we inhabit. It is a small\, supportive group; a safe environment for “spiritual conversation”. We hope to provide a source of support for individuals in their personal struggles with matters of faith and practice. Our meetings are led by members of the group on a rotating basis\, with the facilitator providing a brief reading\, reflection\, or question to focus the discussion for the evening. This group meets regularly on the 3rd Tuesday of the month in Sue Lawson’s home\, however the September meeting will take place on the 2nd Tuesday in September. \nPlease contact Sue Lawson or Bob Strayer for more information.
